For our competitive dancers, our lyrical dance program is designed for students to learn to be expressive through this classic fluid style of dance.  It combines ballet and jazz technique to get across a message, usually using a lot of emotion.  The lyrics of the song serve as inspiration for movements and expressions.  The dance steps in lyrical dance are characterized by fluidity and grace.
